My mission in writing Women in Scripture is to bring depth, clarity, and compassion to the study of women in the Bible by illuminating their stories through careful research and cultural context, while bridging Scripture with emotional and spiritual growth. My prayer is that it will inspire you in developing a deeper understanding, personal reflection, and a more meaningful connection to God’s Word.

Stephanie Catmull, aka the BookLady, is the founder of Women in Scripture, which is a platform dedicated to the in-depth study and exploration of women throughout the Scriptures. Since launching her work in 2013, she has built a thoughtful and research-driven body of content aimed at helping readers engage more deeply with biblical narratives, particularly those centered on women whose stories are often overlooked or only briefly mentioned.

Stephanie’s work is distinguished by her thorough and reflective writing style. She takes time to carefully examine historical, cultural, and textual contexts, offering readers a richer understanding of scriptural passages. Her approach is both scholarly and accessible, making complex themes understandable for a wide audience while still honoring the depth of the material.

In addition to her theological work, Stephanie is a Christian therapist, which allows her to bring a unique mental health perspective to her writing and teaching. She is always interested in the characters’ stories in Scripture and she often bridges scriptural insights with emotional and psychological awareness, helping readers connect ancient texts to modern-day experiences of healing, identity, and resilience.

Over the years, Women in Scripture has grown significantly, reaching a wide audience of readers seeking meaningful and compassionate engagement with biblical content. Stephanie has cultivated a community of 98 subscribers with over 500,000 views and globally reaching over 300 countries, reflecting the resonance of her work and the impact of her voice in this space.

Her mission continues to center on honoring the voices of women in Scripture while encouraging personal reflection, emotional growth, and deeper spiritual understanding.
